LAWRENCE -- At least 1,200 students are expected to visit more than 100 prospective employers at the 14th annual Career and Employment Fair from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Feb. 4 and 5 on the fifth floor of the Kansas Union at the University of Kansas.
The fair, sponsored by University Career and Employment Services, is open to all students and alumni and features a variety of employment opportunities, from volunteer agencies and summer camps to business and industry employers.
The event provides an opportunity for employers to visit informally with students about job options and a chance for students to learn more about work, internship and volunteer possibilities. In addition, some businesses will conduct interviews on campus after the career fair. Students seeking more information are encouraged to attend the "How to Attend a Career Fair" workshop from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in room 149 of the Burge Union.
More information about the fair and a complete list of participating organizations are available via the University Career and Employment Services Web site, www.ku.edu/~uces.
