LAWRENCE -- The Multicultural Resource Center at the University of Kansas will host its second annual Student Diversity Conference on Saturday, Feb. 7, in the Kansas Union. The conference is open to all KU and Haskell Indian Nations University students.

The cost is $5, and students can register in advance or on-site. Registration for the conference, "We Are One Community," will begin at 8:45 a.m. in the Kansas Union. Registration forms are available in the Multicultural Resource Center, Office of Multicultural Affairs, Center for Campus Life and online at www.mrc.ku.edu.

Marlesa Roney, KU vice provost for student success, will deliver the keynote address followed by breakout sessions on topics including "Understanding Whiteness, Recognizing Privilege," "Luscious Latinas: Evolution of a Stereotype" and "Increasing Cultural Awareness."
