KU cycling club receives bid to May 21 national tournament in Wisconsin

LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas cycling club has qualified for the National Collegiate Cycling Association's Collegiate Road National Championships this week, May 21 through 23, in Madison, Wis.

To qualify for nationals, the KU cycling club won the Jayhawk Classic on May 2 in Lawrence. More than 100 collegiate racers from Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota participated along with 100 noncollegiate racers. KU's win earned the club the conference points necessary for the national championship invite.

The KU Cycling club also received a national bid in 2002.
