KU announces Board of Class Officers leadership for 2004-05

LAWRENCE -- The Board of Class Officers at the University of Kansas announces new leaders for 2004-05. BOCO promotes student life and recognizes excellence in the University community.

Recently reorganized, BOCO leaders include a president and four vice presidents. This student organization may have as many members as want to be involved on committees that carry out the work throughout the school year.

BOCO is responsible for awards such as the H.O.P.E. (Honor for an Outstanding Progressive Educator) award; as the C.L.A.S.S. award, citation for leadership and achievement in student services; and the Campanile Award, presented to a graduating senior who has displayed remarkable leadership, strength of character and respect for KU. BOCO officers also create the class banners carried in the commencement processional, select a senior class gift.

Officers' names, year in school, major, parents' names, position on the board and high school alma mater are listed below.

JOHNSON COUNTY
From Prairie Village
Greyson Andrew Clymer, senior majoring in finance, son of David and Melanie N. Clymer, is BOCO vice president of finance. He is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School.

RILEY COUNTY
From Manhattan
Andrew Clark Biberstein, senior majoring in Latin American studies, son of Greg and Denise Biberstein, is BOCO vice president of student life. He is a graduate of Manhattan High School.

SHAWNEE COUNTY
From Topeka
Jenni Elise Fox, junior majoring in biology, daughter of Robert and Claudia Fox, is BOCO vice president of awards. She is a graduate of Washburn Rural High School.

MISSOURI
From Kansas City
Nicholas Joseph Lawler, senior majoring in architecture, son of Robert and Lenora Lawler, is BOCO president. He is a graduate of Winnetonka High School.

OKLAHOMA
From Tulsa
Whitney Megan Ryan, junior majoring in psychology, is the daughter of Phillips and Charlotte Ryan; is BOCO vice president of communications. She is a graduate of Jenks (Okla.) High School.
