Hawk Talk invites Kansas high school students to informational KU receptions

LAWRENCE -- The University of Kansas Office of Admissions and Scholarships is inviting high school students from across the state to Hawk Talk receptions that will include information and prizes.

The first reception this spring will be for Johnson County sophomores and juniors from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Regnier Hall on the KU Edwards Campus, 12600 Quivira Road, Overland Park.

The event will provide students an opportunity to learn more about KU. Representatives from KU's professional schools and other offices will be on hand to answer questions and give information about various departments at KU. Alumni and recruitment staff also will be on hand.
Refreshments will be provided. Those in attendance will be eligible for door prizes.

Sophomores, juniors and seniors are invited to receptions at all locations except Johnson County, Wichita and Douglas County. Those receptions will be limited to sophomores and juniors only.

March 7: Dodge City, 7 to 8 p.m., Holiday Inn Express
March 8: Scott City, 7 to 8 p.m., Education Center
March 8: Pittsburg, 7 p.m., Holiday Inn Express
March 8: Wichita, 6 to 8:30 p.m., Koch Industries (sophomores and juniors only)
March 9: Manhattan, 7 p.m., Holiday Inn
March 15: Hutchinson, 7 to 8 p.m., Holiday Inn Express
March 15: Douglas County, 7 p.m., Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics (sophomores and juniors only)
March 16: Great Bend, 7 to 8 p.m., Great Bend High School
March 29: Hoxie, 7 to 8 p.m., Hoxie High School
March 30: Smith Center, 7 to 8 p.m., Ingleboro Mansion Bed and Breakfast
