22 Kansas law enforcement executives complete KU training seminar

HUTCHINSON — Twenty-two Kansas law enforcement executives successfully completed the fifth annual Kansas Police Administrators Seminar, held July 31 through Aug. 4 at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center near Hutchinson.

The seminar is a joint project of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center, a unit of the University of Kansas, and the Kansas Association of Chiefs of Police.

The intensive training included sessions on advanced community policing and problem solving; strategic planning; budgeting; organizational leadership; internal investigations; leading an ethical organization; background investigations; employee performance evaluations; disciplinary issues; use of force policy; and media relations.
