University mourns death of student Yujie He

LAWRENCE – University of Kansas Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little released the following statement regarding the death of student Yujie He:

“On behalf of the KU community, I offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Yujie He. Our thoughts are with them at this tragic time.”

Yujie, of Changsha, China, died in a car accident on on Leavenworth County Road 1 Monday afternoon.

She was in her third semester at KU and was enrolled at the Applied English Center.

The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
