School of Law garners top 25 ranking in ‘When Lawyers Do the Grading’ report

LAWRENCE — The University of Kansas School of Law ranks 23rd among public law schools, according to a new listing by U.S. News and World Report called “When Lawyers Do the Grading.”

The ranking was based on the opinions of the people doing the hiring at the nation’s most highly regarded law firms.

Additionally, KU graduate programs garnered national respect with almost 50 ranked programs in the preliminary 2012 U.S. News rankings released today.

City management and urban policy and special education continue to rank No. 1 among public institutions. Medicine-primary care moved up to 30th and nursing increased to 24th, both among publics.

The School of Education ranked ninth among publics and 18th overall.
