Residence halls to open doors to trick-or-treaters
LAWRENCE — Daisy Hill residence halls will offer Lawrence trick-or-treaters the annual “Halloween in the Halls,” including a kid-friendly haunted house and carnival, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.
Youngsters can trick-or-treat in Lewis and Templin halls, located at 15th and Iowa streets. KU students distributing candy will have Halloween decorations on their doors.
Ellsworth Hall will provide a carnival that allows kids to participate in games for candy and other prizes.
Hashinger Hall will feature a not-too-scary haunted house from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult for all activities.
Halloween in the Halls is sponsored annually by the Association of University Residence Halls in the KU Department of Student Housing. KU offers three kinds of communities: residence halls, scholarship halls and apartment living with positive and academically focused environments. Student Housing supports KU’s academic goals by serving about 5,200 students and families in 62 buildings across campus.
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
