Chancellor: KU appreciates continued federal support for university research
“University research has direct benefits for our nation, just like KU research directly benefits Kansans. Whether it is by creating new products, discovering new cures or expanding our understanding of the world, these discoveries improve lives and create jobs. We can see that through the KU Cancer Center bringing treatments to patients in their communities, as well as in the research discoveries that KU has spun off into new companies. We appreciate the continued support for federal research the president is recommending and encourage Congress to continue our nation’s commitment to science and discovery.”
The University of Kansas is a major comprehensive research and teaching university. University Relations is the central public relations office for KU's Lawrence campus.
